I'm an Associate Professor at Federal University of Santa Catarina - UFSC where I teach mainly at the Computer Science and Information Systems undergrad courses. Also, I am a researcher, professor and advisor in the Computer Science Graduate Program (PPGCC) at UFSC, and a senior researcher fellow at the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC) from the National Research Council (CNR), Italy.
I hold a degree in Computer Engineering and a Master's in Computational Modelling from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), Brazil, and a PhD in Computer Science from the Plymouth University, United Kingdom (UK).
My main research interests are: adaptive behaviour for autonomous agents, machine learning and data analysis applied to mobility data (trajectories), biomedical sciences, logic circuit synthesis, evolutionary computation and complex systems.
