I'm an Associate Professor at Federal University of Santa Catarina - UFSC where I teach mainly at the Computer Science and Information Systems undergrad courses. Also, I am a researcher, professor and advisor in the Computer Science Graduate Program (PPGCC) at UFSC, and an associate researcher at the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC) from the National Research Council (CNR), Rome, Italy.

I hold a degree in Computer Engineering and a Master's in Computational Modelling from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), Brazil, and a PhD in Computer Science from the Plymouth University, United Kingdom (UK).

My main research interests are: adaptive behaviour for autonomous agents, machine learning and data analysis applied to mobility data (trajectories), biomedical sciences, logic circuit synthesis, evolutionary computation and complex systems.
