Assistant professor (Prof. Adjunto II) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina - Informatic and Statistic Department. Member of Database Group and LISA Lab. Current research includes Data Management (XML and Database) and Approximate Data Matching (using similarity function). The goal of approximate data matching is to assess whether two distinct data instances represent the same real world object.

Other topics of interest are: data integration, Web data management, Deep Web and Dataspaces.
