Title: OBJECT ORIENTED MODELING ON FRESH CURRICULUM OF COMPUTER SCIENCES DISCIPLINES- AN INTEGRATIVE PEDAGOGIC PROPOSAL

Authors: Oliveira, Clara Amelia de, and Alves, Joao Bosco da Mota

Abstract : The present work describes a pedagogic proposal, suggesting the adequate computer paradigm, to be applied, on Fresh Curriculum of Computer Science, and Engineering courses. To begin, it is given an overview on the evolution, represented by the migration from Imperative to Structured, and from Structured to Object Oriented Knowledge Representational Paradigm. This movement, coincident way, has affected curriculum orientation, on the integrative direction. In addition, it is resumed some important human aspects, related with educational field. Challenge to built more open educational projects is a great motivation on nowadays researchers objectives, as demonstrate the already done experiences. At this moment, pedagogical changes are occurring, on several dimensions, also in traditional disciplinary curriculums. A remarkable conclusion is, that educational projects potentiality, increase under integrative approaches. And, this is just the specific case of computer programming introductory disciplines, under Object Oriented knowledge representational paradigm. This integrative paradigm facilitates to arrive to several kinds of synthesis, also from disciplines contents. It is, at least, an adequate approach, to teach software development, for all level skills, from fresh to advanced computer sciences curriculum contents.
