Supremum Example

This Basic level operation is very easy to learn because it is like a union of sets for binary images. In the example bellow we show two input images and their supremum.

For graylevel signal and images, the supremum is point by point the highest level of them.

In the next example we show the supremum operator applied to a one dimensional signal. Signal 1 and 2 (respectively blue and yellow) are the input signal and the output is plotted in red.

Every group of images has a supremum because we are working in complete lattices.
