GEOMETRY commands

PROGRAM NAME

gcreate2dtex - Create a 2d texture from an image.

DESCRIPTION

REQUIRED ARGUMENTS

-i
type: infile
desc: First Input data object
-o
type: outfile
desc: Resulting output data object
-tex_filter
type: list
desc: Control over the method used in filtering the input image when making a texture.

OPTIONAL ARGUMENTS

-umin
type: float
desc: Minimum u-coordinate value associated with origin of image data.
default: 0
bounds: 0 < [-umin] < 1
-vmin
type: float
desc: Mininum v-coordinate assigned to the origin of the texture.
default: 0
bounds: 0 < [-vmin] < 1
-umax
type: float
desc: Maximum u-coordinate to use for the non-origin corner of the texture image.
default: 1
bounds: 0 < [-umax] < 1
-vmax
type: float
desc: Maximum v-coordinate to use for the non-origin corner of the texture image.
default: 1
bounds: 0 < [-vmax] < 1

RESTRICTIONS

Textures are created so as to contain 3 channels of floating point RGB data, so space efficiency is not optimal. Only RGB textures are created. Future work includes generating luminance textures, color-mapped textures and other lower-color-resolution texture formats.
