PROGRAM NAME

animate - Interactive Animation of Image Sequence

DESCRIPTION

The animate program is an interactive image sequence display tool. This application allows you to input an image that contains multiple frames and sequence through those frames. Alternatively, you may provide a basename that describes a set of single band images located in the same directory, and use these as input to animate. The features provided by animate include:

Forward and reverse sequencing.

Different sequencing mechanisms (looping, single stepping, auto reverse).

Variable sequencing speed.

Optional display of frame number

Input of single files containing multiple frames, or sets of files containing one frame each.

Clip masks

Alternate colormap file

Autocolor operations

Normalization of colormaps, application of functions to colormaps

Generation of new data sets for animation

For a single file containing multiple frames:
% animate -i sequence:bushes
For a set of files named "my_sequences.1 ... my_sequences.N":
% animate -base my_sequences.
