Toolbox Description
The Toolbox is composed by four groups of programs: tools, basic image operations and operators, first, second, and third level image operators.
-
This groups holds the elementary operations and operators of Mathematical
Morphology.
-
This group holds operators that uses only once each basic operator.
-
This group holds operators that uses more than once each basic operator.
-
This group holds operators that uses an a priori undefined number of basic operators.
-
This group holds some complementary functions.
The right choice of the parameters of the operators gives a large number of tools to extract image information: image sharpening and smoothing, threshold segmentation, elimination of particles that hit the image edges, closing of holes, size distributions, skeletons and their characteristic points (triple, end, etc.), geometrical segmentation and filtering, etc.
For each program of the toolbox, there is an on line help associated, that gives the operator definition and a set of well known parameters to extract useful image information.
