PROGRAM NAME

kcolorspace - Change the color space attribute on a data object

DESCRIPTION

kcolorspace is used to change the setting of the KCOLOR_COLORSPACE attribute on a data object to any of the allowed values. Note that changing the attribute using kcolorspace does not modify the data (say by actually performing an RGB to HLS converssion if the KCOLOR_COLORSPACE is changed from RGB to HLS). Instead, changing the attribute will cause the data in the object to be interpreted as to already be in the new color space.

REQUIRED ARGUMENTS

-i
type: infile
desc: First Input data object
-type
type: integer toggle
desc: Type of colorspace to be applied to the input image
allowed values:
-o
type: outfile
desc: Resulting output data object

OPTIONAL ARGUMENTS

none

EXAMPLES

Consider an W=512 H=512 E=3 data object, with each of the WxH planes obtained
from a color scanner using R, G, and B filters. Simply inserting these data
planes into a "blank" data object will cause the data to be treated as
three planes of greyscale data. To cause the data to be interpreted as RGB
data (for those operations that perform color processing, including the
display tools), use kcolorspace to change the setting to RGB.
