BOOTSTRAP commands


PROGRAM NAME

kbuild - Installs the Khoros 2.0 software.

DESCRIPTION

kbuild is the script that installs the Khoros 2 toolboxes. For more details, please see the Installation Guide. Before running kbuild, you must cd to the top level directory where the Khoros 2 distribution has been untarred. Then, simply run
% kbuild

It will prompt you for the following information:
1) confirmation of the toplevel directory of the Khoros distribution
2) your machine architecture
3) whether you need multiple architecture support
4) the name and location of the C compiler
5) the bin/ directory in which to install executables
6) the lib/ directory in which to install archived libraries
7) if desired, it will allow you to edit the configuration file
8) the default bootstrap flags
Finally, it will begin compilation of the bootstrap toolbox. Expect it to take anywhere from a half hour to two hours, depending on architecture.

EXAMPLES

Make a new Makefile in the current directory based on the Imakefile. If a Makefile alredy exists, then the Makefile is updated based on information from the Imakefile.

% kgenmake

RESTRICTIONS

If the Makefile is corrupted, you will have to remove the Makefile
