GEOMETRY commands

PROGRAM NAME

goctmesh - Create an Octmesh Geometry Object from 3D Data

DESCRIPTION

octmesh is used to create a "mesh" out of three-dimensional value data. The value data must either have an element size of 4 and contain RGBalpha values, or an element size of 1, in which case the scalar elements will be combined with a visualization colormap to produce RGBAlpha values by the renderer. Location data must also be present in the input file. Location data is required to exists in R3 (i.e., each location vector must have and X, Y and Z component). The underlying grid types which are currently supported are CURVILINEAR and UNIFORM.

REQUIRED ARGUMENTS

-i
type: infile
desc: input 3d data for octmesh
-o
type: outfile
desc: output geometry octmesh

OPTIONAL ARGUMENTS

-cmap
type: infile
desc: input vis colormap
default: {none}
-do_normals
type: boolean
desc: Flag indicating whether or not normals should be generated. Normals are computed from the value data, and are required for voxel-dot shading.
default: true
-flip_normals
type: boolean
desc: Causes normals to be flipped or not.
default: true
-name
type: string
desc: object name
default: octmesh
