The Brazilian Symposium on Multimedia and Hypermedia 
Systems, SBMidia, is the official event of the Brazilian 
Computer Society (Sociedade Brasileira de Computacao - SBC) 
in this field. The seventh edition of the SBMidia will be held in 
the city of Florianópolis, the beautiful capital of the state of 
Santa Catarina, from October 16-19, 2001. 

The SBMidia'2001 edition includes the presentation of technical 
papers, invited speakers, panels and tutorials, a thesis 
consortium, as well as exhibits and demonstrations.
